Meet Mark B. Kabins, M.D., F.A.A.O.S.

Mark B. Kabins, MD has dedicated himself to the service of patients with spinal disorders since first coming to Las Vegas in 1992. Dr Kabins is committed to the state-of-the-art treatment of back and neck ailments so that his patients can return to a productive lifestyle and to many of the activities they enjoy. Dr Kabins has a broad background in the non-surgical care of patients and is committed to providing this for the patients in whom he treats. Surgery is the most frequently recommended for patients who have failed reasonable conservative treatment options.

Dr Kabins, like his father and siblings, is a graduate of the University of Illinois for both his undergraduate and medical school studies. He obtained his undergraduate degree in both biology and psychology and was awarded Phi Beta Kappa, Bronze Tablet, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He went on to complete medical school at the University of Illinois. He graduated at the top of his class with honors, while simultaneously being awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Kabins is Board Certified by the American Board of Spine Surgery and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is license in multiple states and partakes in several outreach clinics, servicing surrounding communities.

Dr. Kabins is an Associate Editor forĀ Spine, a pre-eminent internationally recognized medical journal covering research related to the spine, and is the leading journal in its field. Additionally, he serves as a peer reviewer forĀ The Spine Journal, the official journal of the North American Spine Society. This journal is an internationally multidisciplinary journal that publishes original, peer reviewed articles on research and treatment related to the spine and spine care. Moreover, Dr. Kabins is a member of the American Medical Association, the North American Spine Society, and the American College of Spine Surgery.

Dr. Kabins’ practice evaluates and treats spinal conditions including injury and diseases of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He also cares for many patients with pelvic and sacroiliac conditions. He has surgical expertise in micro-decompressive procedures, minimally invasive spine surgery, artificial disc replacement, and reconstructive spinal surgery.
